Unlike Goodwill, Housing Works, and Salvation Army, we don’t sell the items we collect and distribute for free.

Unlike New York Cares, Care for the Homeless, and Breaking Ground, we don’t get millions of dollars in grants.

We do what they do - but our ENTIRE budget is dependent on YOU! Every single dollar you donate to House of Good Deeds pays for storage, insurance, transportation, vehicle maintenance, parking, operating costs - and pizza for our volunteers.

House of Good Deeds rescues and redistributes over a ton of new and like-new items every month - all for free!

If you’ve got new and like-new clothes, shoes, housewares, appliances, food, or cleaning/office/personal hygiene items, and want to make sure they get put to good use, donate them to the House of Good Deeds! We have drop-off locations in Manhattan, or our volunteers and vehicles can come collect your donations from you at a mutually convenient time.
